Backtests
Pinescript has 2 distinct types of scripts: indicators and strategies. While indicators are excellent to send alerts and automate trading, they do not allow for easy in-depth analysis of previous trades.
Programming your system as a strategy script gives you the option to use TradingView’s in-built backtester. This wonderful tool, helps you analyze past performances through many metrics and KPIs. Intuitively go back in time and look at all orders individually to better understand how your system performed.
Automation
Once signals are set and testing results are satisfying, the only thing left to do is automate your strategy, so you can let your alerts do the monkey work for you.
TradingView stays on top of the game by always integrating more popular brokers through the direct Trading Panel tool. If your favorite broker is missing, we will work with you on a tailored 3rd party API integration made solution with the bot service of your choice.
